Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Brantley Man Faces Murder Charges Following State Investigation
CRENSHAW COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) – A man from Brantley, Alabama, with a previous criminal record, is now facing murder charges after a recent investigation conducted by state law enforcement. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) initiated a homicide investigation on Monday, November 27, at approximately 10:14 p.m. This investigation was launched at the request of both the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office and the Crenshaw County District Attorney’s Office. The incident took place near the 6000 Block of Old Three Notch Road, close to the Bullock Community in Crenshaw County.
The deceased has been identified as Angel Renea Soisson, a 32-year-old resident of Dozier. In connection with this case, Dustin Lee Burbage, a 40-year-old Brantley resident, was arrested and charged with Murder, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Burbage was taken into custody and booked into the Crenshaw County Jail.
It is worth noting that Burbage has a history of violence. In July of this year, he was charged with attempted murder after causing a disturbance during a wedding celebration at Barns and Bins Wedding and Event Venue near Luverne, as reported by the Luverne Journal.
The investigation into this tragic incident is still ongoing, and further details are yet to be released. Once the investigation is complete, all findings will be handed over to the Crenshaw County District Attorney’s Office for further action.
