Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district successfully neutralized a terrorist associated with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in a recent encounter, according to an official press release. The encounter took place in Arihal village, where a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Pulwama Police, Army (44RR), and CRPF (182Bn) based on specific intelligence.
The terrorist, identified as Kifayat Ayoub Alie, son of Mohd Ayoub Alie and a resident of Pinjoora Shopian, was involved in several terror-related crimes, as recorded by the police. This includes his association with the LeT and his involvement in cases such as FIR No. 123/2021, FIR No. 294/2021, and case FIR No. 180/2023 of PS Shopian.
During the encounter, security forces recovered incriminating materials along with arms and ammunition from the encounter site. The seized items include one pistol, two magazines, five rounds, and two grenades. These materials have been documented and will be used for further investigation and legal proceedings.
In light of the operation, authorities have urged the general public not to approach the encounter site until it has been thoroughly sanitized and cleared of any potential explosive materials. Safety precautions are being taken to ensure the area is secure and free from any residual threats.
