Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Los Angeles authorities are currently on the hunt for a suspect believed to be responsible for the murders of three homeless men in late November. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has launched an investigation into the three separate incidents, which occurred between November 26 and November 29. Each victim was experiencing homelessness at the time of their deaths.
According to LAPD Chief Michel Moore, the suspect approached each victim while they were sleeping and shot them. The first victim, identified as Jose Bolanos, 37, was found dead in an alley on November 26. The second victim, Mark Diggs, 62, was discovered the following day on Mateo Street. The third victim, a 52-year-old Latino man, was found on November 29 near Avenue 18 and Pasadena Avenue. All three victims were found alone in open areas where they slept.
The LAPD has released two images, including a possible suspect vehicle and a photo of the suspect, in an effort to generate leads and aid in the investigation. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón have both expressed their determination to bring the perpetrator to justice and ensure the safety of the homeless population.
In response to these murders, the city is mobilizing to protect its unhoused residents. The LAPD is working closely with partners such as the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles to provide shelter and services to those in need. The goal is to prevent individuals from sleeping alone and to raise awareness about the danger that exists.
The LAPD has created a dedicated task force to uncover the identity of the potential serial killer, with support from the Major Crimes Division, Bureau of Victim Services, and Bureau of Investigation. The collective resolve of law enforcement and city officials remains steadfast in their pursuit of justice for the victims and their commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of the community.
As the investigation continues, anyone with information is urged to come forward and assist the authorities in their efforts to apprehend the suspect. The LAPD is determined to bring closure to the families of the victims and provide a sense of security to the homeless population in Los Angeles.
