Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Father and Son, Injures Four Others in Dhar District
Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): A heart-wrenching incident occurred in the Dhar district when a pick-up van plunged into the Omkareshwar canal near Semalda on the Kalibawdi road, resulting in the death of a father and his young son. The victims were identified as Vijay Kushwaha, a diligent daily wage worker at the Life Insurance Corporation of India, and his seven-year-old son, Rudraksh, a resident of Semalda. The unfortunate mishap took place while Vijay was transporting laborers to the nearby fields. The incident, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Dhamnod police station, has left the community in shock.
Local residents, upon learning of the incident, rushed to the scene and promptly provided assistance in rescuing the injured. Four individuals, namely Yash Kushwaha (19), Jyoti Ashok (30), Gayatri Kushwaha (30), and Kalibai Jeevan (50), sustained injuries in the accident and were immediately transferred to the Community Health Centre for medical attention. The vehicle involved in the accident was carrying a total of seven laborers. As of now, authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
In a separate incident that has alarmed the region, a grain merchant fell victim to a brazen robbery in broad daylight in the Amjhera area of Dhar district. The incident unfolded when two unidentified individuals riding motorcycles intercepted the grain merchant, Rajkumar Rathod, and his companion, Jitendra, while they were en route to Baledi village to set up a stall at the weekly haat (market). The miscreants deliberately collided with their bikes, causing a crash. Armed with knives and sharp-pointed weapons, they forcibly snatched a bag containing a staggering sum of Rs 4 lakh before making a swift escape.
Both the victims sustained injuries during the altercation and were promptly rushed to the government hospital in Amjhera town for treatment. The Amjhera police station has registered a case in connection with the incident, and a rigorous investigation is currently underway. The local community has been left gripped with fear and insecurity due to the recurring incidents of theft and burglary, even during daylight hours.
These incidents serve as a grim reminder of the need for enhanced security measures in the region to protect the lives and property of the residents. Authorities must take swift action to apprehend the culprits and restore a sense of safety and peace in the community.
