Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Five individuals have been apprehended by the police in connection with an alleged case of extortion in the National Capital, according to a top police official. DCP Joy Tirkey, DCP (North-East), announced that the incident took place in Bhajanapura on the night of December 1 and 2.
“The complainant reported that on December 1, four unidentified individuals entered his clinic posing as patients. They brandished a homemade pistol and demanded Rs 5 lakh as protection money,” stated DCP Tirkey. He further mentioned that the police have managed to arrest five of the accused, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining two.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and the police have released the names of the arrested individuals. One of them is Haider Ali, an 18-year-old who previously had a history of involvement in a murder and robbery case as a child in conflict with the law (CCL). Another individual, Faisal Pathani, aged 18, was found in possession of the country-made pistol used in the crime. Sakib, 19, had a prior theft case registered against him and had been released on bail two months ago. Mohd Zaim, 23, works as a scrap dealer and was identified as the mastermind behind the extortion plot. Additionally, a minor identified as XYX, aged 16 and a resident of Maujpur, Delhi, was involved in the incident.
The police have also identified the remaining two suspects as Bada Sahil and Chhota Sahil. These arrests and identifications are significant progress in the investigation, indicating that the police are closing in on all those involved in the extortion case.
