Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Three individuals have been arrested in Una, Himachal Pradesh, for allegedly writing pro-Khalistani slogans on the shutters and walls of two shops along the Chintpurni-Talwara bypass. The suspects, identified as Phool Chand, Arjinder Singh, and Harry, residents of Jalandhar, Punjab, were apprehended by local authorities in a joint operation conducted by the Dehra and Chintpurni police stations.
According to reports, the accused had inscribed slogans like “Khalistan Zindabad” and “Himachal Banega Khalistan” on the shutters and walls of the targeted shops. The incident came to light when authorities discovered the defaced property and immediately launched an investigation.
Utilizing CCTV footage, the police were able to identify the three miscreants and subsequently brought them in for questioning at the Chintpurni police station. Rohini Thakur, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Chintpurni police station, confirmed the arrests and also revealed that the suspects had checked into a local hotel following the act of vandalism.
Authorities are currently probing the motives behind the slogans and whether the accused individuals have any affiliations with radical groups advocating for Khalistan. In order to gain further insights into their backgrounds, the Himachal police have requested the criminal records of the arrested trio from the Jalandhar police.
