Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Boston police apprehended two women on Friday morning following an altercation in Dorchester, during which one of the women allegedly sprayed an officer in the face with pepper spray. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Washington Street and Talbot Avenue, where an officer on paid detail witnessed a confrontation between the two women in the middle of the roadway. Managing to separate them, the officer soon found themselves dealing with another group of individuals engaging in a physical altercation.
The situation escalated when one of the individuals involved in the second fight, later identified as Skyla Malave, targeted the officer by pepper spraying her directly in the face. Attempting to evade capture, Skyla Malave fled in a vehicle, but additional law enforcement personnel quickly intercepted her and promptly placed her under arrest.
Meanwhile, Priscilla Malave, who was also in the vehicle, interfered with the arrest and allegedly assaulted multiple officers. Consequently, a struggle ensued, but the officers eventually overpowered her and took her into custody.
The Boston police have charged both suspects with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and other related offenses. In particular, Skyla Malave faces an additional charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The authorities have not disclosed the exact relationship between the two women.
The arrested individuals, Priscilla Malave, 40, and Skyla Malave, 18, are scheduled to appear in Dorchester District Court for arraignment. The police have issued a press release confirming the arrests and charges filed against the two women.
