Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Tragic Accident Claims Three Lives and Injures One in Pakistan’s Sindh
In a devastating incident on the Sakrand link road in Nawabshah, Sindh, three individuals lost their lives, while another sustained injuries after a speeding truck collided with their motorbike. The unfortunate victims were identified as three brothers who were riding the bike at the time of the accident. The fourth brother miraculously survived but was left injured and was immediately rushed to the Sakrand government hospital for medical attention, as reported by ARY News.
This heart-wrenching incident follows another recent tragedy that occurred on November 25 near the Shahdara area of Islamabad. A school bus carrying students on a school trip veered off the road and fell into a ravine, resulting in the death of a school teacher and injuring 20 others, including students. According to Geo News, the police revealed that the driver had left the engine running while he stepped out of the bus. Tragically, the bus began to move downhill and ended up in a ditch.
Among the 54 individuals present on the ill-fated bus, including 13 teachers and other staff members, 22 boys, and 19 girls, one person lost their life, identified as 22-year-old Hania. Prompt rescue teams reached the scene and immediately transferred the injured students to nearby hospitals. Thirteen students were taken to the Poly Clinic Hospital, while eight were admitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
Eyewitnesses stated that some passengers had disembarked from the bus when it stopped momentarily before the accident occurred. The driver was subsequently apprehended by authorities, as per Geo News reports. Unfortunately, this incident is not the first of its kind in the region. Just a few months ago, in August, a similar accident occurred in Nawabshah, resulting in the death of a young girl and the injury of 24 others, including women and children. The passenger coach, en route to Karachi from Jhang, overturned near Zero Point in Sakrand due to the driver losing control of the vehicle, according to an ARY News report.
These tragic incidents highlight the importance of road safety measures and the need for stricter regulations to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future. The authorities must take immediate action to ensure the safety of commuters and enforce stringent traffic rules to protect innocent lives on the roads.
