Kochi city police have apprehended a 43-year-old man, Joshua Michele, who was accused of raping a 51-year-old woman in Kakkanad. The victim had been enduring constant threats and sexual assaults by Michele at her flat. After the incident, Michele went into hiding but was eventually tracked down and arrested by the police in Bengaluru.

Michele, a native of Kottayam, was produced before the court and has been remanded. The investigation into the case was led by Inspector Santhosh PR of the Infopark police station.

In another incident, a 33-year-old man named Rejin Alex was arrested by Kochi city police for engaging in sexually explicit language with a woman at a spa and filming their conversation. Alex, a resident of Cherthala in Alappuzha, was taken into custody by the police.

Three men and a woman have been arrested by the police for committing a robbery at a women’s hostel in Kochi. The incident occurred on November 11, around noon, when the accused entered the hostel and threatened the residents with weapons. They stole mobile phones and gold items, including a chain and a ring. The accused were identified as Sejin Pais (21), Kayees Majid (35), Jaison Francis (39), and Manu (30). They were apprehended in Irinjalakuda town by the Ernakulam town police.
