The infant’s father, Jeremy Albert Best, was apprehended by law enforcement officials on an arrest warrant related to the death of his wife.
Police received a call from a hunter who had come across a man lying in a sleeping bag on the side of the road, approximately 24 miles east of Idaho Falls. Upon arriving at the scene, officers identified the man as Jeremy Albert Best, who was the subject of the Amber Alert issued on Friday for allegedly kidnapping his own child in Teton County. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Zeke Best was found dead at the location, which prompted an immediate investigation by the Idaho State Police and the FBI.
This devastating incident comes in the wake of another tragedy, as Jeremy Best was also wanted for questioning in connection with the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall.
