Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Six Workers from Kulgam in Himachal Pradesh
JAMMU, Dec 4: In a devastating road accident that occurred on Monday morning, at least six workers from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district lost their lives, while an equal number sustained injuries in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. The accident took place when a truck carrying the workers veered off the road and fell into a gorge in Kararghat, according to the Superintendent of Police Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi.
Of the six deceased, three were killed on the spot, while the other three succumbed to their injuries at the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital (IGMCH). The injured workers, identified as Ranjit, Aslam, Talib Hussain, Akash Kumar, Ajay Thakur, and Manjoor, are currently receiving treatment at the IGMCH.
The victims who lost their lives have been identified as Fareed (24), Gulab (43), Shabir (19), Talib (23), Gulzar (30), and Mushtaq (30), all residents of Kulgam. The accident has sent shockwaves through the community as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and it is yet to be determined whether any negligence or a mechanical failure played a role. The families of the deceased have been notified and are being provided with necessary support during this difficult time.
