Additionally, he was convicted of first-degree assault for a separate stabbing incident involving an adult male. The stabbings occurred on September 3rd, 2022, on Hungerford Dr. in Rockville.

The authorities were alerted to the stabbings when officers from Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of Hungerford Dr. around 9:55 p.m. One victim, who had sustained a stab wound, was immediately transported to the hospital and survived the attack. The victim provided a description of the suspect, leading to Stanfield’s arrest in the vicinity.

During the investigation at the crime scene, another victim was discovered seated in his vehicle in the 800 block of Hungerford Dr. This victim, identified as Jonathan Lawrence Moore, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lauren DeMarco, spokesperson for the State’s Attorney’s Office, expressed gratitude to Assistant State’s Attorneys Lauren Turner and Gabriel Carrera for their successful prosecution of two separate jury trials. DeMarco emphasized that the judge imposed the maximum sentence as a means to protect society from any further harm caused by Stanfield.

Stanfield’s actions were described as terrifying attacks, with random stabbings occurring on a Rockville street. The sentencing ensures that he will not be able to harm anyone else.
