58-Year-Old Man Dies After Crashing Into Lexington Park Residence

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – A tragic incident occurred in the early morning hours of December 3, 2023, in the suburban neighborhood of Suburban Estates, leading to the unfortunate demise of a local resident.

Emergency personnel from the police, fire, and rescue departments swiftly responded to the 2100 block of Exquisite Court after receiving distress calls about the incident at approximately 1:33 a.m. The first responders arrived at the scene promptly, prepared to handle the critical situation.

As firefighters reached the location, they encountered a disturbing sight. The motor vehicle had collided with the side of a residential property, leaving the driver trapped inside the wreckage. The operator was found unconscious and unresponsive, requiring immediate action. The emergency crews initiated a rapid extrication process and immediately began performing CPR, hoping to revive the victim.

Despite the valiant efforts of the responders, the emergency medical personnel eventually declared the operator deceased at the scene. The deceased individual has been identified as Julio Martinez, a 58-year-old Lexington Park resident. This devastating incident has left the community in shock and mourning.

According to their findings so far, Martinez was operating a Toyota and traveling northbound on Exquisite Court, approaching the 2100 block of residential units.
