Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : A gruesome incident unfolded in the Nangloi area of west Delhi, where a 40-year-old man fell victim to a brutal murder at the hands of his own relative. The motive behind this heinous act? A mere sum of Rs 1,500 that the deceased had failed to repay. The assailant, who was reportedly intoxicated with alcohol, resorted to repeatedly smashing the victim’s head with a brick. The shocking crime came to light when the local police received a PCR call reporting a murder.
Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities were greeted by a horrific sight – the lifeless body of the victim lying in a pool of blood within a room. The deceased, identified as Naresh, worked as a rag picker and was known to the community. Appalled by the brutal nature of the crime, the police wasted no time in launching a thorough investigation and registering a case of murder.
As the investigation progressed, it was revealed that Naresh resided in Swarn Park. Further inquiries unveiled a vital lead – the victim had been last seen in the company of his brother-in-law, Mahender alias Bhola, according to one of his friends. However, by the time the authorities sought to question Bhola, he had already absconded. Determined to apprehend the suspect, the police conducted a raid at Bhola’s native abode.
Their efforts bore fruit as Bhola was caught on CCTV footage, aiding the authorities in tracing his whereabouts. The police then meticulously prepared a route and succeeded in arresting Bhola near Ganpati Dharam Kanta, Firni Road in Mundka.
