Shyayn B. : “22-Year-Old Woman Critically Injured in DUI Crash Near Las Vegas Strip”

Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 22-year-old woman is fighting for her life following a serious crash that occurred just west of the Las Vegas Strip. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the accident involved a 50-year-old driver who was subsequently arrested on charges related to driving under the influence.

The incident took place on Saturday night at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Dean Martin Drive, in the vicinity of West Tompkins Avenue. According to authorities, Ali Brandy A., the 50-year-old driver, was operating a 2003 Honda Odyssey with a 26-year-old male passenger. As they traveled southbound on Dean Martin Drive, nearing the intersection with Tompkins Avenue, tragedy struck.

The driver of the Honda inexplicably veered left, crossing into the opposing lanes and heading southbound in the northbound section of Dean Martin Drive. Unfortunately, at the same time, 22-year-old Shyayn B. was driving a 2017 Toyota Yaris in the left-most travel lane, going northbound on Dean Martin Drive. The two vehicles collided when the front of the Honda crashed into the front of the Toyota.

Emergency medical personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the Toyota driver to UMC Trauma Center due to the severity of her injuries. Her condition is now considered critical. The driver and passenger of the Honda were also taken to UMC Trauma Center as a precautionary measure.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section is currently conducting an in-depth investigation into the crash to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.
