Orange Police announced this week that the investigation will be handed over to the district attorney upon its completion.

Fortunately, the man who was reportedly struck by the vehicle did not require hospitalization following the family violence incident on November 27. Orange Police Lt. Stephen Ward confirmed that the victim did not sustain any serious injuries.

The woman responsible for the assault, identified as Aliah Roberts, 28, has been arrested for aggravated assault. However, she is no longer listed on the Orange County jail roster, indicating that she may have been released on bail.

According to authorities, Roberts and the victim were involved in a dating relationship. The altercation took place at 61 Farragut Avenue at approximately 10:51 a.m., prompting a response from the Orange Police Department.

In a separate case, the Orange Police continue their investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on November 29 at the Willowbend Apartments, located in the 4000 block of Sikes Road. Police believe that two individuals engaged in a shootout, resulting in damage to several vehicles and at least one apartment unit. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.

Despite their ongoing efforts, law enforcement has yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in their investigation.
