Known for his friendly demeanor, Harrison was adored by customers, who affectionately referred to the older ladies at the store as his “aunties.” His mother, 43, shared that he had been saving money to move out of their shared home in Frankford and secure his own apartment. During the incident, another security guard, whose identity has not been released but is reported to be 23 years old, was also stabbed. Thankfully, he is currently in stable condition. The suspect, Tyrone Tunnell, 30, has been apprehended and remains in police custody.
Authorities revealed that Tunnell had attempted to steal two Polo hats before being confronted by the security officers and subsequently removed from the store. However, fueled by anger, Tunnell allegedly returned to the entrance of Macy’s and confronted the two guards, leading to the fatal stabbing of Eric Harrison.
