In a devastating incident that took place on December 3rd, two businessmen lost their lives in a horrific vehicular pile-up on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway in Gurugram. The unfortunate event occurred at approximately 8:45 am when a trailer truck abruptly applied brakes, causing a chain reaction collision involving multiple vehicles.

The victims’ friend, who witnessed the incident, promptly filed an FIR, providing crucial details about the accident. Alongside the two motorcycles ridden by the deceased businessmen, two cars, including a BMW, and a canter truck were also involved in the multi-vehicle collision.

A police official confirmed the tragic outcome, stating, “Two bike riders lost their lives in the accident, and currently, we have no information regarding any other injured individuals. An FIR has been registered to initiate necessary legal proceedings.” Authorities wasted no time in apprehending the truck driver responsible for the accident.

The two deceased individuals, identified as Prashant Narula, a resident of North Avenue Road, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi, and Parmit Sood, a resident of DLF Phase-1 area in Gurugram, were part of a close-knit group of friends who had set out on a leisurely motorcycle ride.

Mukul Kumar, a Delhi resident and a member of the group, promptly lodged a complaint with the police, ensuring that the responsible parties would be held accountable. The accused truck driver faces charges under sections 304-A, 279, and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.

Providing a harrowing account of the incident, Mukul recounted that seven of them were riding their motorcycles that day. Narula and Sood were leading the group, while the remaining four companions trailed behind, about 2-3 kilometers away.

Tragically, Prashant Narula, the director of Narula Industries, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Nalhar Medical College, while Paramjit Sood, gravely injured in the accident, was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Gurugram. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Sood also tragically passed away while undergoing treatment.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while traveling. The families and friends of the deceased are left grieving the loss of their loved ones, while the authorities continue their investigation to ensure justice is served.
