Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two individuals have been apprehended following a terrifying incident where they allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint, invaded his home, restrained him with zip ties, and even resorted to using a brick to strike the victim in the head. The suspects have been identified as William Cook, 35, who faces charges of first-degree burglary, armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping; and Archie Reedy Williams, 33, of Marion, who is charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping, accessory before the fact to a felony, accessory after the fact to a felony, and resisting arrest.

The distressing event unfolded on the evening of November 26th in the Sellers community of Dillon County. Deputies from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting a robbery. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials were met by the victim, who detailed receiving a call from one of the suspects and subsequently meeting them in his yard.

To the victim’s horror, while engaged in conversation with the suspect who had contacted him, four other individuals with concealed identities suddenly emerged from a vehicle and held him at gunpoint. The assailants proceeded to bind the victim’s hands behind his back using zip ties, and one of them viciously struck him in the head with a brick.

The perpetrators then forcibly entered the victim’s residence, continuing their assault on him inside. Meanwhile, one suspect held the victim’s girlfriend at gunpoint. The victim reported a significant loss of belongings, including jewelry, a pocketbook, tennis shoes, cellphones, and even a surveillance camera box.

Following an investigation by deputies, Cook and Williams were identified as two of the suspects involved in this heinous crime. Although the case remains under investigation, law enforcement expects additional arrests to be made in connection with the incident.
