Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Security forces in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, have announced the arrest of two alleged terrorist associates, along with the recovery of arms, ammunition, and incriminating material. The arrests were made during a special operation conducted in the Behrote area of Budhal, following an encounter between the security forces and terrorists on November 17.
During the encounter, one terrorist was eliminated by the forces, leading to the initiation of an immediate investigation. Subsequently, two individuals were detained for questioning, and it was during this process that their terror links were established. According to a police spokesperson, it was revealed that the arrested individuals, identified as Mohd Nazir and Farooq Ahmed, were actively working for terrorists.
Based on the information provided by the detainees, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with District Rajouri, 33 RR, and 237 Bn CRPF, launched an operation to recover further evidence. The operation successfully retrieved one pistol, two pistol magazines, 28 pistol bullets, two grenades, and various other items including a bag, uniform camouflage, and medical supplies.
The recovered items also included a plastic belt, polysheet (Tarpal), knee cap, bandages, hot strip (Garam patti), syringe, underwear, electric tester, and Cipladine ointment. These findings further strengthen the case against the arrested individuals and provide valuable leads for ongoing investigations.
The police spokesperson emphasized that further investigations are underway to gather more information related to the arrested individuals and their potential connections to terrorist organizations. The successful operation and subsequent arrests serve as a testament to the relentless efforts of the security forces in maintaining peace and security in the region.
