The devastating incident took place on Thursday afternoon on Route 90 near Creek Road in Genoa, as confirmed by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Marsh was driving eastbound when a westbound vehicle suddenly veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with her car. The impact of the crash left her with multiple injuries, leading to her being airlifted to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. Initially, a GoFundMe page was set up to gather funds for her medical expenses, but now it will assist her grieving family with funeral costs.
The young victim had recently graduated from Southern Cayuga High School and had just begun her first semester in the physical therapy program at Cayuga Community College. Her promising future was tragically cut short by this senseless accident.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, identified as 71-year-old Juldie Baker from King Ferry, also sustained injuries and was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for further medical care. The current condition of Baker has not been disclosed by the sheriff’s office. It is worth mentioning that there were no passengers in either vehicle involved in the collision.
