Nevaeh Lorane Martinez, 13, and her son, D’Angelo Hill, were last seen on December 10th on the 1000 block of W. 100th Street around noon, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Concerns are growing for their well-being, as their family has not heard from them since.

Authorities believe that Martinez and her son may be headed to the East L.A. area. Martinez is described as a Hispanic female, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 60 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, as well as a tattoo on her left face cheek in cursive writing. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Her son, D’Angelo Hill, is described as a Black and Hispanic male, 19 inches tall, and weighing 10 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue onesie.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has classified Martinez and her son as critically missing juveniles. A critically missing person is defined as someone who is in critical need of medical attention, the victim of a crime or foul play, has no pattern of running away or disappearing, the victim of a kidnapping or parental abduction, or someone who is mentally impaired and unable to care for themselves or poses a danger to themselves or others.
