Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : NORTH HERO TOWNSHIP — Tragedy struck on Tuesday when a male driver was found dead at the scene of a crash in Redwood County. The incident took place near the intersection of 140th Street and Garden Avenue. According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s office, the state trooper who arrived first at the scene determined that the man, identified as Randall Lawerence Flesner, 54, was not breathing and had no pulse.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the truck veered off the roadway and crashed into a field. Despite life-saving efforts, Flesner was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that the lack of a seat belt contributed to the severity of his injuries.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office received initial information about the incident at 8:39 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle was reported to have driven in and out of the ditch near the intersection of Redwood County Road 4 and Redwood County Road 6. During the search for the reported vehicle, a state trooper discovered the pickup truck with Flesner inside.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to assist the State Patrol. Lamberton Fire and Ambulance, CentraCare Ambulance, and North Memorial Air Care provided their support.
