Satish Patil : “Thane Police Arrest Six People in Contract Killing Over Financial Dispute: Crime Branch Official”

Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Thane Crime Branch Unit Five made a significant breakthrough on Tuesday by apprehending six individuals, including three attackers, who had been hired to kill real estate agent Satish Patil. The assailants had received a contract worth ₹7 lakh from the prime accused, Bhushan Patil, in relation to a financial dispute amounting to a staggering ₹4 crore.

According to a crime branch official, the arrested suspects have been identified as Haresh Pabale, Sourav Athawale, and Rahul Tekale. These individuals had accepted the contract to eliminate Satish Patil and mercilessly attacked him with sharp weapons while he was inside his car in Ovala, Thane, on Saturday evening. In addition to these three, the police have also identified Pankaj Thakkar, Akshay Shinde, and Arvind Bodke as co-conspirators involved in the plot to murder Patil.

Senior Police Inspector Vikas Ghodke from Crime Branch Unit Five shed light on the case, stating, “During our preliminary investigation, we discovered that a financial transaction of ₹4 crore had taken place between the accused, Bhushan Patil, and the deceased, Satish Patil.” Ghodke further revealed that Satish Patil’s wife had previously passed away, leaving behind a son who resides in Dhule. Satish, a successful businessman with interests in real estate and travel, owned property in Dhule district along with a flat in Thane. So far, a total of eight individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case.

An anonymous crime branch official suggested that the motive behind the murder could be linked to either the financial dispute or Bhushan Patil’s sister, who had been involved in a two-year relationship with Satish Patil. The six arrested individuals are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to face charges.

Earlier this week, the Kasarvadavli police had already apprehended two suspects connected to the crime – Bhushan Patil, who had witnessed the brutal murder, and Nitin Patil, a cousin of Bhushan and a fellow real estate businessman.

The incident occurred when Satish Patil was in his car accompanied by Bhushan Patil. At around 5:30 pm on Saturday, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle approached the car, knocked on the window, and launched a vicious attack using sharp weapons before fleeing the scene. Satish sustained severe injuries to his head, hand, chest, and neck, ultimately succumbing to them at a nearby hospital. Bhushan, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries and received immediate medical assistance.

During their investigation, the police discovered that Satish Patil had given ₹4 crore to Bhushan Patil, who had been persistently demanding its return in recent days. The additional details uncovered in this case will undoubtedly aid the ongoing investigation and help bring justice to the victim and his family.
