Same Hebo : Woman killed in head-on collision between 4WD and tanker lorry in Sandakan

Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : KOTA KINABALU: Tragedy struck the roads of Sandakan district on Friday (Dec 15) when a fatal collision occurred between a four-wheel drive vehicle and a tanker lorry, resulting in the death of a woman. The victim has been identified as Same Hebo, a woman in her 50s.

The incident took place at Mile 18 Jalan Sandakan around 9 am, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Prompt action from the Fire and Rescue Department allowed the woman to be freed from the wreckage, as she was initially trapped inside her 4WD following the catastrophic collision.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of paramedics from the Health Ministry, who swiftly arrived at the scene, it was confirmed that Same Hebo had tragically lost her life. The Health Ministry team declared her deceased at the scene, leaving the authorities with the grim task of handing over her body to the police for further investigation and necessary procedures.

In a stroke of luck, the lorry driver, a 40-year-old individual, managed to escape the mishap unharmed. The operation to clear the wreckage and ensure the safety of other road users came to an end at 10:26 am.
