Chonburi police and rescue personnel rushed to the scene following a report of the accident on December 15th. Upon arrival, they found a mangled Honda Wave motorcycle and a damaged Toyota Revo pickup truck in the middle of the road.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider, identified as 22-year-old Mr. Supakrit Yingnok, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body bore the gruesome injuries of the crash, including a broken neck, crushed chest, and several fractures. The pickup truck driver, Mr. Pongplon Thongkhambunjong, 62, provided his account of the incident. He stated that he was driving through a green light when the deceased suddenly emerged from somewhere at high speed, colliding with the front of his vehicle. Mr. Pongplon claimed that he did not see the motorcycle approaching and only became aware of the accident upon impact.
According to Mr. Warathorn Suntornngam, a 20-year-old friend of the deceased, the victim was part of a large group of around 10 motorcyclists.
