Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) is collaborating with the Clark County School District to investigate a case of tuberculosis (TB) involving an individual who had been present on multiple school campuses. According to SNHD, the person in question had an active TB disease during their time on the campuses, posing a potential risk of spreading the disease to others.
Based on the preliminary investigation conducted by the health district, it was found that the person had limited close contact with individuals at most of the campuses they visited. However, Ruthe Deskin Elementary School was identified as having a higher possibility of TB exposure among its students and staff.
To ensure the safety of all individuals involved, notifications are being sent out to everyone identified as close contacts of the patient. Additionally, parents of students attending Goynes Elementary and the Lied STEM Academy have received letters informing them about the situation.
