According to authorities, a Honda Accord lost control and veered into the right shoulder, colliding with a light pole and a traffic sign before rolling over. The passenger, identified as 32-year-old Yashiramarie Santiago from Windsor, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was pronounced dead. State police revealed that Santiago was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Honda Accord sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, as reported by state police. The crash resulted in the temporary closure of the area, with traffic being directed off the exit for Route 75.
