Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Confirm Two Soldiers Killed in Gaza Operation

Tel Aviv, December 17 – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the tragic deaths of two soldiers, bringing the total number of casualties to 121 since the commencement of ground operations on October 27. These fallen heroes have been identified as Master Sergeant (res.) Joseph Avner Doran, 26, from Jerusalem and Sergeant Major (res.) Shalev Zaltsman, 24, from Ramat Yishai.

The brave Avner Doran lost his life during intense fighting in the North Gaza Strip while serving in the IDF’s esteemed mobility unit within the Shayetet 13 commando force. On the other hand, Shalev Zaltsman made the ultimate sacrifice in southern Gaza while fighting alongside the 55th Paratroopers Brigade.
