Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Five Palestinians were tragically killed and many others injured during a large-scale military offensive by Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA. This ongoing offensive has caused immense devastation and loss of life in the region.

Reports indicate that at least two of the victims were killed in a drone strike that specifically targeted them while they were in the Nour Shams refugee camp. The strike not only resulted in fatalities but also left several others wounded. The Israeli occupation forces have also launched a detention campaign, demolished infrastructure, and declared the camp a closed military zone. The city and the refugee camp were stormed from multiple directions by the large-scale forces.

The victims have been identified as Jihad Aarneh, 25, Mahmoud Samer Jaber, 22, Ghayth Yasser Shahada, 25, Waleed Asa’ad Zahra, 22, and Asa’ad As’ad Zahra, 33. This tragic loss of life has left the Palestinian community in a state of grief and mourning.

Furthermore, numerous Palestinians have been injured, some critically, due to the Israeli drone strikes that targeted various locations within the camp. The Palestinian Red Crescent has reported that emergency medical teams were obstructed by the Israeli forces from entering Nour Shams camp to provide aid to a critically injured individual with a head injury, despite prior coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross. Additionally, disturbing reports have emerged of a volunteer paramedic being detained by Israeli forces from inside an ambulance, further exacerbating the dire situation.

Israeli drones have also targeted locations in the Manshiya neighborhood of Nour Shams camp, escalating the violence and causing further destruction.

The Israeli occupation forces began their assault on Tulkarm on Saturday night, imposing a strict siege on Nour Shams camp. Military vehicles and bulldozers were deployed in strategic locations, such as Nablus Street and the entrance to the Ikataba suburb, surrounding the camp. The invasion was accompanied by intense gunfire and explosions in various neighborhoods. Israeli snipers were observed positioned on rooftops, further intensifying the violence and fear.

The ongoing situation in Tulkarm and its refugee camp has resulted in immense suffering and loss for the Palestinian people.
