Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : SUKMA: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector tragically lost his life, while a constable sustained injuries in an encounter with Naxalites on Sunday in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred during an anti-Naxal operation conducted by the CRPF’s 165th battalion.
The operation, which was launched at 7 am from the Bedre camp, took place in the Jagargunda police station area. Sudhakar Reddy, a sub-inspector from the CRPF 165th Battalion, was killed in the exchange of fire with the Naxalites. Constable Ramu also sustained bullet injuries during the encounter.
Following the cessation of the exchange of fire, four suspects were apprehended by the security forces. A joint team comprising personnel from the CRPF, Cobra, and District Force conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area. The injured constable is currently receiving medical treatment.
The police stated, “Four suspects have been taken into custody, and an intensive search of the surrounding area is being conducted by the CRPF, Cobra, and District Force.”
