Death – Obituary – Accident and Crime News : Indian National Arrested in Nepal for Carrying Newborn’s Body, Another Arrested for Possessing Banned Red Sandalwood
In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old Indian national was arrested in Nepal after the dead body of a newborn was found in his possession. The arrest took place at a temple in the Sarlahi district of Madhesh province during a routine security check. The accused, identified as Harishchandra Kumar Sudi, is a resident of Bihar.
Nepal police made the grim discovery when they recovered the body of an infant, with the placenta still attached, from a plastic bag that Sudi was carrying. The police immediately initiated an investigation into the incident, and Sudi was taken into custody. The body was then sent to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
In a separate incident, another Indian national named Navauddin Chaudhary was arrested on the outskirts of Kathmandu for possessing banned red sandalwood. Chaudhary, a 22-year-old from Bihar, was apprehended during a security check on a passenger bus that arrived in Kathmandu from Delhi. The police found 580 grams of red sandalwood in his possession.
The arrests of both individuals highlight the ongoing issue of cross-border crimes and illegal activities. It is not yet clear what motivated Sudi to carry the newborn’s body or why Chaudhary was in possession of banned red sandalwood. Further investigations are underway to uncover more details about these incidents.
Cases like these emphasize the need for strengthened border security and cooperation between India and Nepal to prevent such crimes and illegal activities. Authorities from both countries must work together to ensure the safety and security of their citizens and maintain law and order along the border.
As the investigation progresses, more information is expected to be revealed regarding the motives and connections of the arrested individuals. The police will also explore possible links between the two incidents and any larger criminal networks involved.
