Tragedy struck on Sunday in Nandini Layout, as a 20-year-old labourer lost his life to electrocution while engaged in the cleanup operation of a mobile tower that had collapsed a few days earlier. The unfortunate victim, identified as Jatin Kumar, was an integral part of the crane operator team assigned to remove the debris from the scene.
During the debris removal process, a catastrophic incident occurred when the crane inadvertently came into contact with a live electricity wire. The resultant electric shock caused Jatin to collapse on the ground, while his fellow workers were forcibly thrown away from the crane, miraculously escaping with only minor injuries.
