St. Johnsbury Barracks, VT – Vermont State Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred on December 17, 2023, at approximately 10:26 am. The incident took place on VT Route 25 near the East Corinth Village Store, when Glenn Walker’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle that entered the highway from Village Road.

According to Trooper Evan Johnson, who responded to the scene, the operator of the vehicle that caused the crash fled the area. Shortly after, the vehicle was found parked in a residential driveway about a quarter-mile away. It was later determined that the vehicle had been stolen from Burlington, Vermont, and had been painted black in an attempt to disguise it.

Zachary James, a passenger in the stolen vehicle, was identified and apprehended at the scene. However, the operator of the vehicle remains unknown, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the operator to come forward and contact Trooper Evan Johnson at the St. Johnsbury Barracks.

The Vermont State Police have released photographs of the stolen vehicle to aid in the investigation. These images can be viewed on the official Vermont State Police website.

As the investigation is still ongoing, court action is pending, and the court date and time will be determined at a later stage.
